Citymoves ontwikkelt zich tot volwaardig festival

Citymoves is terug in Den Bosch! Op donderdag 13 mei strijkt Citymoves voor de derde keer neer op de Pettelaarse Schans. Tijdens Hemelvaart kan je maar liefst tien uur lang genieten van de beste trance en house van dit moment. Net als vorig jaar is Armin van Buuren de grote headliner, maar op Citymoves zijn dit jaar niet alleen dancebeats te horen. Het stadsfestival kiest voor een breder muzikaal aanbod en presenteert met gepaste trots de komst van ‘KANE', de meest gewilde band van Nederland!

Special guests: ‘KANE'

Over ‘KANE' is al veel gezegd en geschreven. Iedereen weet dat de band met zanger Dinand Woesthoff het ene succes na het andere viert. Al meer dan tien jaar staan ze onbetwist aan de top in Nederland en momenteel schiet met ‘In over my head' alweer een nieuwe hit hoog in de charts. Het speciale live-optreden van de Haagse band is voor organisator Alda Events eenlogische stap in de ontwikkeling van Citymoves naar volwaardig festival. Daarover straks meer.

Armin van Buuren
Na de geweldige aanblik van de Pettelaarse Schans vol uitzinnige mensen vorig jaar wilde de populairste DJ van de wereld graag terugkomen. De echte fans weten dat Armin niet zichzelf zou zijn als hij dit optreden niet heel serieus zou voorbereiden. Verwacht op Hemelvaartsdag een dikke set van de man waar Nederland trots op mag zijn. Hij trakteert het publiek ongetwijfeld alvast op de hits van komende zomer!

Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano
De twee heren zijn het levende bewijs van de ongekende populariteit van housemuziek vandaag de dag. Niet voor niets hebben ze met The Amazone Project een eigen nacht in de Heineken Music Hall gekregen. De temperatuur op de Schans stijgt zeker tot grote hoogte wanneer zij in de DJ-booth staan.

Lucien Foort & Groovenatics
Om de bezoekers in de juiste stemming te brengen heeft Alda Events voor ‘the best of both worlds' gekozen. De routine en ervaring van Lucien Foort en het enthousiasme van rijzende sterren Groovenatics zullen meer dan voldoende zijn om het publiek op te warmen.

Derde editie Citymoves in Den Bosch
In 2008 beleefde het grootste stadsfestival van Nederland een zeer geslaagde eerste editie in de hoofdstad van Brabant. Het bleek slechts een voorproefje want vorig jaar brak Citymoves werkelijk alle records! Of het nu kwam doordat Armin van Buuren op de line-up stond of omdat de bezoekers het jaar daarvoor zo bijzonder hadden gewaardeerd kan niemand met zekerheid zeggen, feit is dat de Pettelaarse Schans bomvol stond. De enorme toeloop van het gratis festival zorgde wel voor de nodige logistieke puzzels en de drukte werd niet door iedereen gewaardeerd. Dat moet en gaat dit jaar dus anders!

Wijzigingen Citymoves Den Bosch
Alda Events heeft op aangeven van de bezoekers besloten een aantal wijzigingen door te voeren. Zo krijgt de bezoeker dit jaar een betere service op het gebied van drankverkoop, kluisjes en toiletten. Dat betekent minder lange wachttijden bij de bar, meer toiletgelegenheid en meer ruimte om je jassen op te bergen. Ook het assortiment aan eten en drinken wordt uitgebreid zodat het hongerige of dorstige bezoekers aan niets ontbreekt. Om deze maatregelen te compenseren kost een ticket voor Citymoves Festival dit jaar 10 euro. Je betaalt dan omgerekend een euro per uur, goed beschouwd nog steeds een koopje als je in aanmerking neemt welke artiesten er ‘on stage' staan. Tot slot bleek dat veel bezoekers van mening waren dat de leeftijdsgrens wel omhoog mocht. Alda Events deelt die mening en heeft besloten dat bezoekers 16 jaar of ouder moeten zijn. Bij twijfel kan legitimatie worden gevraagd.

Citymoves 2010: "A Tradition turns into a full-fledged festival"

Citymoves is back in Den Bosch! The countdown has begun for the third edition of this astonishing Festival. On Thursday, May 13th Pettelaarse Schans will witness the best in house and trance, enabling everyone to enjoy ten hours of non-stop music. Armin van Buuren, last year's major headliner, will join the festivity once again. But this year's event is both a major celebration of the art of dance and a chance for Citymoves to diversify its musical range portfolio. That's why Alda Events (for the first time) proudly presents 'KANE', the most popular band in the Netherlands!

Special guest: 'KANE'
There's a lot to say about 'KANE'. While Woesthoff, the lead singer of the band has been a smashing success, ‘KANE' undeniably continues to be on top its game in the Netherlands. Their last acclaimed studio album, No Surrender, celebrates decade of success. The band's most recent single ‘In Over My Head' is also climbing the chart rapidly. The Hague based band will in fact deliver an especial live performance. We believe KANE's appearance is a logical step in the development of Citymoves new direction.

Armin van Buuren
After completing his "A State of Trance" world tour, The Number one DJ of the world will return to entertain dance lovers in home country, but Armin's music knows no boundaries and touches everything with a beating heart. Just last year, he managed to gather army of fans to the city of Den Bosch and shook the ground by his unique collection of tunes. So get ready for exclusive set of "Armin" and expect to hear future summer hits!

James & Ryan Marciano Sunnery
These two are the living legends behind the popularity of the today's house music. Their collaboration on ‘The Amazon Project' has resulted in an unprecedented recognition which earned them a spot at the Heineken Music Hall. They definitely will heat up the place as soon as they find their way into the DJ-booth.

Lucien Foort & Groovenatics
To raise the audience spirit we have invited the best of both worlds. The capable and experienced hands of "Lucien Foort" and the enthusiasm of the rising stars "Groovenatics "will be joined together to create a well deserved warm up.

Third edition of Citymoves (Den Bosch)
In 2008, the biggest city-festival of the Netherlands "Citymoves" enjoyed the success of its first edition in the capital of Brabant. Despite the effective introduction of Citymoves, all expectations were exceeded even the following year. Whether it was Armin's performance or the quality line up, we knew we have reached all of our goals to bring joy to our audience. It truly was an extraordinary event. But the free festival overwhelmed the Pattelaarse Schans capacity; made it too crowded and few didn't appreciate the over-flowing whim. But no worries, changes are on its way!

Gratifying Changes in Citymoves
Your feedback matters; we are well aware of the different issues which has been mentioned by the fans. The level of interest in Citymoves forced Alda Events to get even more involved and make few adjustments. This would give our audience a better service this year. We made sure the accessibility to the liquor, lockers and toilets are on its highest standard; means: less waiting time at the bar, more toilet facilities and more space to store your belongings. The Food and Drink choices have also been extended carefully; so basically, you're guaranteed to get the essentials.

For those above measures, this year's tickets of Citymoves Festival have priced only 10, - Euros.

Finally, many guests felt the urge to raise the age limit. Alda Events shares the same view and decided to change the age limit to 16, for this year's festival.
